Byron Bay is reknown for it's alternative, bohemien lifestyle, which endears it to autralian and international tourists, and it's shopping reflects that. Dotted throughout the town are a mish mash of quaint little boutiques, book stores, cafes and alternative health shops and salons. You will not find the big department stores here and a pleasant change is the non existence of the familiar fast food chains.
